Bishkek, Sept. 2, 2020 /Kabar/. This year, according to the State Program for Irrigation Development of Kyrgyzstan for 2017-2026, it is planned to allocate KGS 2 billion 681 million for the introduction of 1,700 hectares of new irrigated land, Deputy Director of the State Agency for Water Resources of the Kyrgyz Republic Abdybai Dzhailobaiev told at a briefing.
"Funds have been also allocated to increase water supply on the area of 17,562 ha, 600 ha were transferred from machine to gravity irrigation and improvement of land reclamation on the area of about 5,000 ha," he added.
