Kyrgyzstan to become economic hub thanks to new railways, says Cabinet head

In his speech at the III People's Kurultai, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev noted that the construction of railways such as Balykchy-Kochkor-Kara-Keche and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan will create new economic hubs and transform Kyrgyzstan into a land port.

He said that these projects will become the core of an economic breakthrough, and strong regions and logistics centers will form around them.

"The average wage level in these hubs will be 20% higher than in other parts of the country, including Kochkor, Kazarman, Jalal-Abad, Ak-Talaa and At-Bashy," Kasymaliev said.

The III People's Kurultai is being held in Bishkek with the participation of President Sadyr Zhaparov, Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh Nurlanbek Shakiyev, members of parliament, the Cabinet of Ministers, the leadership of the judicial branch of government, all authorized representatives of the president in the regions, city mayors, and akims.

The work of the Kurultai is attended by 700 delegates from all over the country, as well as the Speaker of the Zhogorku Kenesh, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and his deputies, heads of ministries, departments, mass media and other organizations.

More than 100 media representatives have been accredited to cover the event.
