Kyrgyzstan to cancel all mass events in schools over coronavirus

Bishkek, Apr. 30, 2020. /Kabar/. At today's news briefing, Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan Kanybek Isakov said that school celebrations such as the Farewell Bell, school reunions and graduation parties will be canceled this year due to the situation with COVID-19 coronavirus infection.

"The most important thing at the moment is the health of our children. We should cancel this year such school celebrations as the last bell, 10th/20th anniversary of graduation and so on. We must realize that all this is for our own safety. The situation is not easy. We intend to issue such an order," Isakov added.

As of 10:00 a.m. Apr. 30, 17 new cases of COVID-19 have been revealed in Kyrgyzstan, including 4 cases among medical workers.

Thus, Kyrgyzstan's coronavirus case tally has reached 746.

462 citizens have been recovered and discharged from hospitals, 8 have died.
