Kyrgyzstan to conduct command-staff and mobilization exercises

Bishkek, March 13, 2021 / Kabar /. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kyrgyzstan has begun preparations for the joint command-staff and mobilization exercises "Koopsuzduk-2021" and "Formation South-2021," the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The topic of the upcoming maneuvers is the work of the military, state administration and local self-government bodies in the context of the introduction of martial law and a state of emergency in certain localities of the republic, the practical mobilization of the formed military units and the fulfillment of combat missions in an aggravated situation.

The exercises will be attended by command and control bodies of the Armed Forces, the office of the governor of the Kyrgyz Republic in Batken Oblast, district state administrations of Batken, the Batken city administration and regional divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Committee for National Security, and the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The exercise will involve about 2 thousand people, about 100 units of automobile, armored and special equipment, up to 20 units of artillery systems, up to 10 units of aviation equipment.

The exercises "Koopsuzduk-2021" and "Formation South-2021" will be held in Batken, Osh and Jalal-Abad Oblasts from March 30 to April 1, 2021.
