Kyrgyzstan to continue issuing visas for Afghan students

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2021. / Kabar /. On December 19, New Delhi hosted the Third Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the India-Central Asia Dialogue with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev.

The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said that the ministers of foreign affairs of India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan took part in its work.

During the meeting, issues related to the organization and holding of the India-CA Summit at the level of heads of state, as well as issues of economic, transport, communication and cultural and humanitarian cooperation were discussed.

Along with this, the ministers examined in more detail the current situation in Afghanistan. Taking into account the difficult situation in this country, the sides noted the need to provide humanitarian assistance to it, the report said.

The officials noted the importance of the adoption of a large-scale program for the reconstruction of Afghanistan, primarily by the UN, OIC, other international organizations and financial institutions, and it was also emphasized that economic problems, accelerating the impoverishment of the population and the onset of hunger, can become the main factors in the activation of criminal and terrorist groups in Afghanistan.

In this context, the willingness of the Kyrgyz side was expressed to continue issuing student visas for Afghan citizens.
