Bishkek, May 30.05.19. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan will continue to pay great attention to developing regional cooperation with China, Head of inter-regional department of the Kyrgyz Ministry of Economy Zaynidin Jumaliyev told during the 14th meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Chinese Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation on May 29, 2019 in Bishkek.
The Kyrgyz side was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov, while the Chinese Commission was headed by Jen Hongbin, the Deputy Minister of Commerce of China, the press service of the Kyrgyz Economy Ministry reported.
“Taking into account the territorial proximity of Kyrgyzstan and China, the traditional economic and cultural ties, the Kyrgyz Republic will continue to pay great attention to the development of regional cooperation with the People's Republic of China,” the head of department said.
A great deal of attention is paid to cross-border cooperation and for the purpose of implementing this Program, the establishment of Trade and Logistics Centers in the border areas with China - in the At-Bashy region, Naryn Oblast and in the Alai region, Osh Oblast - is currently being worked out. There is need to intensify the development of cross-border trade and economic cooperation between the Naryn and Kashgar Free Economic Zones.
In order to develop mutual regional cooperation, representatives of state bodies and the business community of the two countries also take an active part in various trade and economic events held both in China and Kyrgyzstan.
These events have a key role in establishing a mutually beneficial and effective dialogue and give impetus to the intensification of trade, economic and regional cooperation in various sectors of the economy.
Kyrgyzstan has more than 400 joint Chinese enterprises in various sectors of the economy (industry, mining, medicine, agriculture, services, etc.). Such enterprises as the Tian Shan Ceramic LLC, Altyn Ken Ltd. gold mining enterprise, oil refineries and other large enterprises in various sectors of the economy operate successfully to date.
The Kyrgyz Government pays great attention to the regions development and in accordance with the Unity. Trust. Creation program and the Concept of the Regional Policy of the Kyrgyz Republic for the 2018-2022 period approved national and regional investment projects in the field of industry, energy, agriculture, mining, production and logistics and other investment projects that are offered to the Chinese side to participate in their implementation.
