Bishkek, April 8, 2021 . / Kabar / . 11, 237 beds will be deployed in Kyrgyzstan in case of recurrent outbreak of COVID-19 coronavirus infection, Deputy Minister of Health and Social Development of the republic Uluk-Bek Bekturganov said at a briefing on Thursday.
He added that 1,164 of the total number of beds will be prepared in Bishkek, 1,752 in the republican health-care facilities and 1,352 – in Chui Oblast.
"The remaining beds will be deployed throughout the republic," Bekturganov noted.
"Currently, 1,498 beds are prepared across the republic, 162 of which are intensive care wards. In addition, 3 thousand 246 ventilators and 8 thousand 234 concentrators are prepared for patients," he said.
36,455 out of 47,523 medical workers of the country have been trained for treatment of patients with COVID-19.
An increase in cases of novel coronavirus is observed in Kyrgyzstan recent days.
The capital city of Bishkek account for the largest number of people infected with COVID-19.
