Kyrgyzstan to ease anti-COVID-19 measures

Bishkek, April 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Edil Baisalov held a regular meeting of the Republican Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 and eliminate its consequences in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Cabinet reported.

During the meeting, reports were heard on the epidemiological situation of coronavirus infection in the republic as of today and the progress of vaccination of the population against coronavirus infection.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with interested state bodies, was instructed to cancel the mandatory requirement for a negative PCR test or a certificate of vaccination against coronavirus infection for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic and foreign citizens in entering the country from May 1, 2022 on all modes of transport.

At the same time, the campaign to vaccinate the population against coronavirus infection will be continued.

In addition, at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, a draft decision will be submitted on lifting the emergency regime in the country, which was introduced on March 22, 2020.
