Kyrgyzstan to export potatoes to Uzbekistan

Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2023. / Kabar/. Farmers in Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions are exporting a large batch of potatoes to Tashkent, the Trade Representation of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.

An agreement on the export of potatoes was reached following negotiations between the Trade Representative of Kyrgyzstan in Uzbekistan Almaz Temirbekov and Uzbek importers. According to the signed contract, the total volume of the first delivery is estimated at about 1000 tons. The first batch of goods will be delivered after laboratory examination.

“Thanks to the mutually beneficial conditions agreed upon between the parties, it was possible to achieve not only high quality products, but also an important factor - a favorable price. This event not only highlights the successful cooperation between the two countries, but also creates a platform for long-term partnerships in the fields of trade and economics. Kyrgyzstan is proud of its contribution to strengthening regional ties and looks forward to further promising opportunities in the field of international trade,” the Trade Mission noted.

The cooperation was implemented with the active participation of the Trade Representation under the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
