Bishkek, Sept. 5, 2020 / Kabar /. The Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan in honor of the celebration of Komuz Day on Sept. 9 announced holding of the Komuz Week from Sept. 7 to 13, 2020, the press service of the ministry reported.
Taking into account the current epidemiological situation, the Komuz Week will be held online, the report said.
The program includes memoirs of great komuz players, a scientific and practical conference with the participation of carriers of traditional music and komuz players, an online concert and video lessons. The event will be broadcast live on several channels and on the Facebook page of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Komuz Day was introduced to consolidate society and strengthen the unity of the people of Kyrgyzstan, as well as to expand the intercultural dialogue of ethnic communities in 2019 by the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic.
