Bishkek, Dec. 11, 2020 / Kabar /. Acting President of Kyrgyzstan, Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Talant Mamytov signed the law to conduct a referendum (nationwide vote) to determine the form of government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the press service of the President said.
The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh on Dec. 10, 2020.
The adopted law provides for conducting a referendum throughout the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021.
The voters will choose the form of government of the Kyrgyz Republic:
- presidential republic,
- parliamentary republic,
- against all options.
The law comes into force on the day of its official publication.
