Bishkek, April 19, 2022. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will host the 9th International Congress of Music and Dance for the first time, Azamat Zhamankulov, the Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of the country told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The congress participants will present scientific reports on the issues of preservation, improvement (development), transformation in content and form of traditional music art in the era of globalization.
"Scientists, figures of science, art, culture and education from India, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Republic of Khakassia, Republic of Tuva, Republic of Altai, Bangladesh, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Hungary and other countries will participate in the congress. Today, more than 100 scientists have confirmed their participation in the congress with off-line and online scientific reports,” the minister added.
The 9th International Music and Dance Congress will be held on the first day of the Traditional Music Week to take place in Kyrgyzstan on April 20-25.
Coordinator of the Congress Kurshad Gulbeyaz noted that Congress itself began its work in 2005 in Turkey, later it was also held in Azerbaijan and now in Kyrgyzstan.
“In total, the Fund has about 14 branches in the Turkic-speaking countries," he added.
The congress is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan, the Institute of Philosophy, Law and Socio-Political Research named after Altmyshbaev, the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Institute of Language and Literature named after Chyngyz Aitmatov and the Kyrgyz Traditional Music Foundation.
