Kyrgyzstan to host Asian Triathlon Championships for first time

Bishkek, Sept. 17, 2021 . / Kabar / . Cholpon-Ata town of Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul Oblast will host on Sept. 17-19 the Asian Triathlon Championships among professional athletes and children in the U15 (13-15 years old) category.

The press service of the State Agency for Sports of Kyrgyzstan, the total number of professional athletes is 57 people, representing nine countries: the UAE, Japan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Palestine, Jordan, Bahrain and Kyrgyzstan.

The program of the Asian Championship includes 3 days:

- Sept. 17 - meeting of guests, familiarization with the track, briefing for athletes;

- Sept. 18 - competitions among professionals and children.

- Sept. 19 - competitions among amateurs on the Olympic distance:

- 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

"The live broadcast of the event will be available on channels: KyrgyzSport TV, TV1KG and TriathlonLive.kg," the report says.
