Bishkek, Feb. 15, 2024. /Kabar/. An exercise with the collective rapid reaction forces of the CSTO “Interaction-2024” is planned to be conducted in Kyrgyzstan, this fall, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Andrei Serdyukov told at a briefing.
“This year, among the main joint training activities, it is planned to conduct in September-October in the Central Asian region of collective security on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic a command exercise with the collective rapid reaction forces of the CSTO “Interaction-2024”, a special exercise “Search” -2024,” a special exercise with forces and means of logistical support for the CSTO troops “Echelon-2024,” Serdyukov said.
According to him, an operational gathering with the command of the collective rapid deployment forces of the Central Asian region and a joint exercise “Rubezh-2024” are planned in Tajikistan.
“And also, on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a command post exercise with the CSTO peacekeeping forces “Indestructible Brotherhood 2024” is planned,” he added.
Serdyukov said that during the active phases of the exercises, representatives from other states that are not members of the CSTO, as well as international organizations, are expected to participate as observers.
From the Ministry of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Artur Temirov took part in the briefing (via videoconference), during which topical issues of military cooperation, development and training of forces and means of the Organization’s collective security system for 2024 were brought up.
