Kyrgyzstan to host Forum of Young Cinema of CIS Countries

Bishkek, Dec. 20, 2020 / Kabar /. Forum of Young Cinema of the CIS countries will be held in Bishkek on Dec. 21-25, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The Young Cinema Forum is held annually in order to discover new directorial names, support talented youth, create conditions for the development of dialogue between the CIS countries in the field of cinematography and culture in general, and involve the young generation of the countries in the process of intercultural dialogue.

The program of the Forum includes competitive screenings of short feature films and documentaries, as well as special screenings of full-length feature films from Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia, discussions, master classes and creative meetings with prominent cinema figures. Traditionally, famous foreign filmmakers will be invited to the jury to determine the winners of the participants in the national competition.

The forum is held with the financial support of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states, the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of the Kyrgyz Republic, creative universities and public organizations of the republic.
