Bishkek, March 15, 2024. /Kabar/. The international Issyk-Kul marathon Run the Silk Road 2024 will be held in Cholpon-Ata city of Kyrgyzstan on May 4.
According to the organizers, athletes from the SCO countries, members of the Kyrgyz athletics team and everyone will take part in the race. The event will bring together about 4,000 participants.
The organizers have prepared the following distances:
marathon (42.195 km),
half marathon (21.097 km),
10 km (running and Nordic walking),
3 km,
children's race.
There will also be an entertainment program, medals for finishing, Each participant will receive a T-shirt and a backpack from Run the Silk Road, and the strongest will be able to compete for prizes.
The prize fund for the overall winners at distances of 42.2 km and 21.1 km is 1 million 534 thousand soms.
