Bishkek, July 8, 2022. / Kabar /. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov, during a regular meeting of the Headquarters for Combating COVID-19, instructed to intensify work on vaccinating the population against COVID-19.
During the meeting, information was heard on the epidemiological situation of coronavirus infection in the republic as of July 7, 2022 and on the progress of vaccination of the population against coronavirus infection, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The Ministry of Health said that at the moment there is no need to introduce any restrictions in the country. There are enough forces and means to respond to any scenario with the spread of coronavirus infection.
Edil Baisalov noted that according to the World Health Organization, it is necessary to learn to live with COVID-19, which will spread annually in several waves around the world. Under the current conditions, people who have not received vaccines against coronavirus infection, the unvaccinated part of the population, expose themselves to mortal risk.
The deputy head of the Cabinet of Ministers instructed the relevant state bodies to intensify work towards enhancing the vaccination of the country's population.
In addition, members of the headquarters decided to maintain the state of emergency for coronavirus infection in the country, introduced in March 2020.
