Bishkek, June 15, 2022. / Kabar /. New methods of rehabilitation of children with disabilities will be introduced in Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the country Kudaibergen Bazarbaev told during a meeting with the founder of Uplift-Aufwind Maren Ernst.
“The Ministry of Labor intends to apply international experience in the rehabilitation of children with disabilities throughout the country. To do this, we will organize and systematize work in this direction and make available unique methods in all regions of the country,” the minister said.
Since 2005, the Uplift Uplift-Aufwind Public Foundation has been implementing 9 programs in Kyrgyzstan aimed at preventing abandonment of children in order to prevent them from entering orphanages.
The foundation also works to improve the competence of local specialists in such specializations as physiotherapy, speech therapy and others.
For 17 years of work, the foundation has supported more than 10,000 children through its programs. Currently its working with 5 government boarding schools.
