Bishkek, Dec. 24, 2019. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan plans to introduce a rating of educational institutions: universities, schools and kindergartens, head of the Department of Professional Education of the Ministry of Education and Science Gulmira Abylkasymova told reporters.
She said that Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) has developed an effective rating research system for educational programs, which, since 2014, has been successfully used in assessing the quality of higher and postgraduate education.
“The rating of the agency is considered as a tool for assessing the effectiveness of the university, its readiness to ensure public procurement, recognition of programs and the competitiveness of the faculty. The “Independent Rating of Universities of the Kyrgyz Republic - 2019” presents quantitative and qualitative indicators of 19 educational institutions in 179 bachelor and master's programs in 19 areas, while the first rating presented the results of ranking only 51 training programs,” Abylkasymova said .
The Ministry plans to finish this work next year, she said.
