Kyrgyzstan to open 44 polling stations abroad

Bishkek, Sept. 8, 2020 / Kabar /. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov told at a briefing that the work is underway to create conditions for holding parliamentary elections at polling stations abroad..

He said that 44 polling stations will operate abroad.

“In this regard, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Migration Service have been given appropriate instructions. To activate the collection of biometric data of our citizens abroad, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been allocated additional 11 equipment for their collection. Migrants can be registered at polling stations at consulates or embassies to take part in elections,” the prime minister said.

The parliamentary elections in Kyrgyzstan will be held on Oct. 4.
