This year, the official opening of the winter tourist season in Kyrgyzstan will take place at the Ak-Tyuz ski resort in Chui Oblast, Director of the Department of Tourism of the Ministry of Culture, Information and Tourism of Kyrgyzstan Maksat Damir uulu told at the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
The director of the Tourism Department said this base is new, which became operational last year, so it was chosen for the start of winter tourism.
Maksat Damir uulu added there are 22 ski resorts in Kyrgyzstan, of which only 16 operate. At the same time, it is planned to develop and open ski bases in the southern part of the country in the future, in particular, in Alai region, Osh Oblast.
Maksat Sabyrov, director of the Ak-Tyuz ski resort in Kemin region, Chui Oblast said the new ski resort has the most diverse slopes.
“We have two lanes-for children and an adult one. We have designed the lanes so that person can ride on a rolled up, regular track, and also free ride.
Areas such as Free ride and Skip Tour, which are widely used in Europe, can become our uniqueness," he said.
The event will take place on Dec.21 at 10:00 a.m.
