Bishkek, Dec. 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . In Kyrgyzstan, names of all universities that failed to pass the inspection of the commission will soon be announced, chief expert of the Anti-Corruption Business Council under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic (ABC) Aidarbek Mambetkadyrov said during a briefing on Thursday.
He added that 21 lisenced universities in Bishkek and Chui Oblast have been checked now. Meanwhile, Mambetkadyrov noted that the condition of some educational institutions leaves much to be desired.
"The condition of some universities is deplorable, there are not even elementary microscopes for students. This shows the prestige of the state itself in the international arena. Following the completion of the commission’s work, we will tell which universities do not meet the standards” the expert of the Anti-Corruption Business Council said.
"We must take real steps, up to temporary closure of faculties," said Aidarbek Mambetkadyrov.
There are 68 institutions of higher education in Kyrgyzstan, of which 35 are private and the rest are state universities.
