Kyrgyzstan to purchase 120 new ambulances

Bishkek, Feb. 16, 2024. /Kabar/. The Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development is providing a grant for the purchase of ambulances for Kyrgyzstan, the Ministry of Health reported.

As part of a working trip to Russia on February 15, Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan Alymkadyr Beishenaliev held a meeting in Moscow with Executive Director of the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development Andrei Shirokov, the ministry said.

The sides discussed a new project for the development of the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan, which includes the purchase of ambulances.

The minister expressed sincere gratitude to the Eurasian Fund for supporting the healthcare sector in Kyrgyzstan and emphasized his readiness to further strengthen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation.

As a result of the meeting, the parties reached agreement on the allocation of a grant in the amount of USD 3 million for the purchase of 120 ambulances. The purchase of vehicles will be an important contribution to improving the emergency medical care system in Kyrgyzstan, the report said.
