Bishkek, Oct. 10, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputies of the Jogorku Kenesh adopted the bill “On ratification of the Credit Agreement (Ordinary Operations [preferential]) (Program for Improvement of Sustainable Financial Management and Public Administration - Subprogram 1) between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank and Grant Agreement (Special Operations) (Program for Improvement of Sustainable Financial Management and Public Administration - Subprogram 1) between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Asian Development Bank, signed on July 4, 2024 in Bishkek” .
The press service of the Parliament reported that initiator of the bill adopted in the first reading is Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Akylbek Zhaparov.
Information about the bill was presented by Deputy Finance Minister Umutzhan Amanbaev.
The purpose of the bill is to attract budget support in the amount of $50 million ($43 million - loan, $7 million - grant) from the Asian Development Bank. The term of the loan is 24 years.
In addition, the Parliament considered and adopted the bill “On ratification of the Agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development / International Development Association, the International Finance Corporation and the Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency on the establishment and operation of representative offices in the Kyrgyz Republic”.
