Kyrgyzstan to resume domestic flights and public transport between regions

Bishkek, June 3, 2020 / Kabar /. The domestic flights and public transport between the regions of Kyrgyzstan will be launched starting from June 5, the republican headquarters said.

First Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Kubatbek Boronov noted that the relevant state bodies, local authorities should be prepared for a clear implementation of the verification algorithm and monitoring compliance with the required sanitary measures.

“A strong control needed for passengers' compliance with all sanitary safety rules in public transport. Wearing masks, temperature measurement during is mandatory. The organization of transportation by bus and minibus should be safe. We must be sure that everyone is traveling in compliance with sanitary standards,” said Kubatbek Boronov, giving relevant instructions to the Ministry of Transport and Roads.

He emphasized that Bishkek remains a focal zone with increased risks of infection and it is not recommended to visit the capital without significant circumstances.

Some criticism was expressed regarding non-compliance with sanitary rules in public places in Bishkek, such as trade markets, shopping centers, shops, cafes and public transport, which worsens the epidemiological situation in the city.
