Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2023 / Kabar/. Kyrgyz doctors will go to Turkiye to provide medical assistance to earthquake victims, the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic reports.
A team of highly qualified specialists from tertiary-level medical organizations has been trained - a neurosurgeon, traumatologist, resuscitator-anaesthetist, vascular surgeon, general surgeon, the ministry said.
Doctors will work in a mobile hospital of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Minister Gulnara Baatyrova noted that medical workers of Kyrgyzstan sincerely mourn together with the friendly Turkish people for the citizens who died as a result of a natural disaster.
“Turkiye always extends a helping hand when we need help, and in such a difficult period for our brothers, we are obliged to support them. Therefore, a team of doctors will go to the affected areas of Turkiye to provide medical assistance to the victims,” the minister said.
Doctors will be provided with medicines and suture and dressing materials necessary to provide medical care in emergency situations.
Humanitarian cargo in the form of medicines and medical devices will also be sent.
In addition, medical workers will transfer one-day wages to the victims of the earthquake in Turkiye.
