Bishkek, Jan.28, 2020 /Kabar/. KGS 456 million is provided for the introduction of the Patrol Police Service in the regions of Kyrgyzstan, Deputy Head of the General Directorate of Road Safety of the Kyrgyz Internal Ministry Nur Satybaldiyev said during the press conference at Kabar News Agency.
Nur Satybaldiyev added the Government's draft decree is being agreed upon and is currently being prepared.
"As the document will be signed, the Patrol Police Service is planned to be created in Osh city and in centers of regions,” the deputy head of the General Directorate of Road Safety said.
He also noted 202 people are currently undergoing training at the Interior Ministry Academy and will start service after passing the qualification exam.
"In addition, the service has 144 vacancies, for which 224 people have applied. After taking a test and a physical examination, candidates will be interviewed and sent on a three-month training course afterwards," Satybaldiyev added.
The creation of the Patrol Police is a strategic direction to improve the overall work of the police.
The new Patrol Police combines the functions of the Directorate of Road Safety and the old Patrol and Post Service, and will be more focused on policing. Its functions still include control over traffic safety on the roads.
