Kyrgyzstan to start screening tests for coronavirus, as soon as necessary test systems are available

Bishkek, June 6, 2020 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan will start screening tests for coronavirus, as soon as the necessary test systems are available, Deputy Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic Nurbolot Usenbaev said during his Saturday news briefing.

“As soon as this technology and the necessary test systems are available, we plan to start screening studies, because the volumes of our anti-epidemiological measures in autumn and winter will depend on this,” he emphasized.

The deputy minister added that in Russia they just started checking for immunity to infection. So, antibodies to COVID-19 were detected in 14% of Muscovites who passed the test.

Kyrgyzstan registered today 38 new COVID-19 cases, a total of 1974, of which 1360 people were recovered and discharged from hospitals, including 273 health workers. 22 people have passed away.
