Kyrgyzstan takes part in the UN road safety program

Bishkek, Dec. 15, 2021. / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan took part in the UN road safety program, Chinara Kasmambetova, director of the Road Safety NGO, told during a briefing in Bishkek.

She said that the main goal of the program is to reduce road deaths by 50%, the work in this direction began this year and will last until 2025, then the results are summed up.

“The situation with road safety is acute in our country, as the mortality rate is high. Now all over the world there is a decrease in the speed of car movement to 30-50 km per hour, for example, near children's educational institutions. We also decided to launch a pilot project to reduce speed near two schools by changing the city's infrastructure,” she said.

Chinara Kasmambetova added that all the recommendations are presented in the program.
