Bishkek, May 15, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Turkey have agreed to mutually reduce the cost of issuing employment visas for citizens of both countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
“In order to create favorable conditions for Kyrgyz citizens, travelling abroad for employment, an agreement has been reached with the Turkish side to mutually reduce the cost of obtaining employment visas for Kyrgyz and Turkish citizens,” the press service said.
The agreement was fixed by the exchange of notes verbales, which took place in the framework of the official visit of Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Aidarbekov to Turkey on May 6-8 of this year.
The sides agreed to mutually reduce the cost of employment visas from $ 283 to $30 (for citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic) and from $ 280 to $ 30 (for Turkish citizens).
The reduced rates of fees for issuing employment visas will be applied from May 15, 2019.
Also, Aidarbekov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Chavushoglu signed the Additional Protocol to the Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on mutual trips of citizens of Apr.26, 2011.
