Bishkek, Feb. 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Business forum entitled "Kyrgyzstan-Turkey" was held in Ankara, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan said Monday.
The forum was organized by the Kyrgyz Embassy in Turkey together with the Turkish confederation of industrialists, business women and entrepreneurs Sankon.

"Business forum was held in offline format with the participation of more than 60 entrepreneurs of Turkey, 10 businessmen from Kyrgyzstan joined the forum online,” the report said.
Thus, during the forum, Kyrgyz Ambassador to Turkey Kubanychbek Omuraliev informed the participants about the Kyrgyz-Turkish trade and economic relations, investment potential of Kyrgyzstan and the conditions of doing business in the republic.

He drew attention to low taxes, the energy potential of which is used only by 10%, bilateral agreements on protection of investments and avoidance of double taxation, as well as markets for the products in the Eurasian Economic Union and under the GSP+ and GSP programs to the European Union and the United States respectively.
In addition, the ambassador urged the Turkish business community to actively invest and open production sites in Kyrgyzstan.
In turn, President of Sankon Cevahiroğlu expressed the willingness of the member companies of this confederation to increase ties with the Kyrgyz business community, as well as to consider the implementation of investment projects, including PPP.

A representative of the Agency for Investment and Development of Kyrgyzstan made a presentation on investment opportunities and projects of the republic in the energy, processing industry, tourism and transport.
4 panel sessions on the following themes were held within the forum:
- export/import, machinery and defense industry;
- construction, information technology and metallurgy;
- energy, medicine, education, finance and banking;
- tourism, textiles, food and legislation on employers and trade unions.
