Bishkek, Feb. 6, 2021. / Kabar /. On Feb. 4-6 Kyrgyzstan's Minister of Health and Social Development Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev is in Turkey for his working visit, the press service of the ministry reported.
During the visit, Minister Beishenaliyev met with Deputy Minister of Health of Turkey Halil Eldemir and Deputy Chairman of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Celal Adan.
The Kyrgyz minister expressed gratitude to the Turkish side for the assistance previously provided in the fight against coronavirus infection and, taking into account the difficult situation in the Kyrgyz Republic amid the coronavirus pandemic, expressed a request for humanitarian assistance.
Having discussed a number of issues on bilateral cooperation in the health sector, Alymkadyr Beishenaliyev also noted the need for early ratification of an Agreement on the Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship Hospital in Bishkek by the Turkish Parliament in order to ensure its full functioning.
Deputy Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Celal Adan assured of support for the early ratification of this Agreement.
The Turkish Health Ministry also donated 5,000 PCR tests to Kyrgyzstan as a humanitarian aid.
