Bishkek, Aug. 3, 2020. /Kabar/. Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh (Kyrgyz Parliament) Dastanbek Dzhumabekov held Monday a telephone conversation with Mustafa Şentop, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
According to the press service of the Kyrgyz Parliament, the two speakers congratulated each other on the sacred for all Muslims holiday Kurman Ait, and wished the brotherly peoples of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey happiness and prosperity.
Dzhumabekov expressed his gratitude on behalf of MPs, the citizens of republic, and on his own behalf to the Turkish side for their humanitarian assistance to the Kyrgyz people during the difficult period of the coronavirus pandemic.
During the call, the sides discussed current issues in Kyrgyz-Turkish relations and inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The speakers noted the importance of close cooperation in the context of the global COVID-19 pandemic.
