Kyrgyzstan, Turkey intend to intensify cooperation in customs

Bishkek, March 29, 2022 . / Kabar / . The first meeting of the Joint Customs Council of the Customs Administrations of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey was held in Ankara (Turkey), the press service of the State Customs Service (SCS) under the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan said.

The meeting was held within the framework of implementation of the Memorandum on Establishment of Joint Customs Council between the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan and the Ministry of Trade of Turkey.

Chairman of the State Customs Service of Kyrgyzstan Samat Isabekov and Deputy Trade Minister of Turkey Riza Tuna Turagay took part in the meeing.

During the meeting, the sides discussed topical issues of bilateral cooperation in promising areas of customs activities.

In particular, they discussed the current development of the customs services of the two countries, the exchange of information on mutual trade between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, cooperation in the field of training of canine centers, law enforcement, the functioning of the operational control center of the Turkish customs service and the use of modern technologies in the administration of goods and vehicles.

The chairman of the Kyrgyz Customs Service and the deputy trade minister of Turkey agreed to maintain the achieved level of Kyrgyz-Turkish cooperation and expressed hope for deeper and more fruitful interaction.
