Bishkek, Dec. 9, 2024. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's Trade Representative in Turkiye Chyngyz Toktobekov held productive talks with Turkish partners aimed at strengthening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Ministry of Economy reported that on December 5, Chyngyz Toktobekov met with Chairman of the Ankara Chamber of Dried Coffee and Dried Fruits Aytac Sevimli and members of the chamber.
The agenda included issues of supplying organic nuts from Kyrgyzstan to the Turkish market.
The sides discussed logistics, quality standards and terms of product sales.
During the talks, an agreement was reached to prepare a presentation of a commercial proposal to promote Kyrgyz goods. The possibility of a visit by a Turkish delegation to Kyrgyzstan to get acquainted with production processes and study the potential of bilateral cooperation was also discussed. On December 6, a meeting was held with representatives of KOSGEB - the Department for Development and Support of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses of Turkiye.
At the meeting, prospects for cooperation with the working group on industrial development of the Kyrgyz Republic were discussed. KOSGEB expressed its readiness to conclude a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.
This step will allow for the intensification of the exchange of experience and the implementation of new projects in the field of support for small and medium-sized businesses. Both meetings demonstrated a high level of mutual interest in the development of trade and economic relations and opened up new opportunities for deepening partnership.
