Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye discuss priorities for cooperation in field of medicine

Bishkek, Nov. 6, 2024 . / Kabar / . The Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan hosted a bilateral meeting between Minister Alymkadyr Beishenaliev and Minister of Health of Turkey Kemal Memishoglu.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the prospects and priorities of cooperation in the field of medicine between the two countries, staffing, training of medical specialists from Kyrgyzstan in Turkish clinics, as well as the development of the pharmaceutical industry and ensuring access to medicines.

Alymkadyr Beishenaliev thanked the Government of Turkey and Kemal Memishoglu for the support provided to the health care system of Kyrgyzstan.

The minister voiced several key issues related to further cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey in the field of health care, in particular regarding the resumption of the quota for the treatment of 150 Kyrgyz citizens in Turkish clinics.

He also noted that within the framework of the Agreement signed today between the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers and the Government of the Republic of Turkey on joint management of the Bishkek Hospital of Kyrgyz-Turkish Friendship named after Recep Tayyip Erdogan and training of Kyrgyz citizens in the field of medicine and medical specialties in Turkey and the Protocol on Cooperation between the Health Ministries of the two countries in the field of organ transplantation, will give impetus to strengthening further cooperation on health issues between the two ministries.
