Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2024 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan and Türkiye will jointly create movies and TV series, Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Altynbek Maksutov told reporters Tuesday.
He noted that an agreement on the part of audio-visual work was signed today.
"This means that we will cooperate with Türkiye in creating movies, video materials, series that we will release. We will exchange an experience. We were recently in Italy and signed such an agreement there as well," he said.
Maksutov said that the country is increasing funding for cinema every year. If in 2023, the financing of cinema increased 10-fold, this year's funding will increase from KGS 345 million to KGS 1 billion. This shows that we will have the same opportunities as other countries to make quality films. In 2025, we intend to build pavilions for filming movies and we could cooperate with them and share experience. Also, we could cooperate with them and share experience, because Türkiye is famous for its TV series," the minister said.
