Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2021. / Kabar / . Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Investment of Kyrgyzstan Ruslan Kazakbaev held a meeting with Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Kyrgyzstan Shadurdy Meredov.

The press service of the Kyrgyz MFA reported that Kazakbaev congratulated the ambassador on beginning of functions of dean of the diplomatic corps and assured of the readiness to make every effort to maintain an effective dialogue with heads of diplomatic institutions of foreign countries and representative offices of international organizations in Bishkek.
Kazakbaev informed about the progress of preparations for the First European Union-Central Asia Economic Forum scheduled for Nov. 5, 2021, and side events organized within the forum.

In addition, during the conversation the sides also exchanged views on the status and prospects of the Kyrgyz-Turkmen bilateral cooperation.
The importance of further strengthening of strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries in political and diplomatic, cultural and humanitarian spheres was noted.
The minister and the ambassador also debated issues of deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation, transport and implementation of infrastructure projects, including trade, investments and energy supplies.
In this context, the need to hold in the near future the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation was noted.
