Bishkek, Sept. 16, 2019. / Kabar /. The opening of direct air links between Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan will be discussed in October in Ashgabat, Deputy Minister of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhenishbek Nogoibaev told in Bishkek during the plenary meeting of the Intergovernmental Kyrgyz-Turkmen Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technical and Humanitarian Cooperation.
He said that today the parties are making every effort to open direct air links.
“The opening of a direct flight would help to boost trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian sectors, as well as create air corridors and increase competitiveness,” he said.
In addition, Deputy Minister of Economy of Kyrgyzstan Sultan Akhmatov spoke about the investment potential of the country. In particular, on the preference of GSP + and membership of the Kyrgyz Republic in the EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union).
“There is great potential that we must realize. I think today many questions have been raised,” he added.
