Bishkek, May 20, 2021 . / Kabar / . Kazakhstan’s Almaty city hosted a working meeting between representatives of the Service for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Drug Enforcement Administration Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DEA).
The meeting took place at the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC), the Service for Combating Drug said.
During the meeting, the representatives of the drug combating agencies of the two countries discussed cooperation issues in the fight against drug trafficking, legalization of drug proceeds, countering the spread of drugs using Internet resources and electronic payment systems.
They also debated a draft Memorandum of Mutual Cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the U.S. DEA.
