Bishkek, July 23, 2021 . / Kabar / . Ombudsman for Children's Rights of Kyrgyzstan Zhyparisa Rysbekova met with UNICEF representative in Kyrgyzstan Christine Jaulmes.
The press service of Kyrgyz president reported that during the meeting, the sides discussed issues on cooperation in protecting the rights and legitimate interests of children.
Zhyparisa Rysbekova thanked Christine Jaulmes for UNICEF's contribution to the creation of conditions for the realization of children's rights and their protection, and expressed hope for further fruitful cooperation.
They also debated problematic issues that are systemic in nature and require significant attention from government institutions represented by the Ombudsman for Children's Rights of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In particular, key areas of cooperation were identified, including child poverty reduction, access to social protection for children, the elimination of violence against children, and access to basic education and health services.
As a result of the meeting, Zhyparisa Rysbekova and Christine Jaulmes agreed to jointly implement projects to protect and create conditions for the realization of the rights and legitimate interests of children, to prepare a draft country program for 2023-2027, being developed by UNICEF.
The sides also agreed to participate in country reviews and analyses of the state of the system to ensure and respect the rights and legitimate interests of children.
