Bishkek, March 11, 2021 / Kabar /. Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy of Kyrgyzstan Kairat Imanaliyev held a meeting with Deputy Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Olimjon Mirzaev.
According to the Kyrgyz Culture Ministry’s press service, the meeting participants expressed gratitude to each other for the active participation and vivid performances of cultural and artistic figures of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in international cultural events regularly held in the two countries.
Minister Imanaliyev also spoke about how highly Uzbek culture is appreciated and popular in Kyrgyzstan, focusing on songs and films.
In turn, Mirzaev expressed gratitude for the invitation to participate in the 175th anniversary celebrations of outstanding Kazakh poet Abay Kunanbayev, noting the high organization of the events.
Besides, he briefed the Kyrgyz minister about Uzbekistan's cultural achievements, sharing vision for introducing 3D technology to view plays and other theatrical productions through virtual goggles.
The sides also noted the close cooperation between the ministries and individual cultural institutions of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, Kairat Imanaliyev and Olimjon Mirzaev exchanged views, and representatives of the ministries of the two countries agreed on close interaction and cooperation in the implementation of bilateral and multilateral activities planned for the current year.
