Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan resume regular bus routes

ishkek, Jan. 27, 2018 / Kabar /. Delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan at the meeting devoted to international road transport discussed the priority areas of cooperation between the two countries in this sphere, the press service of the Uzbek Agency for Automobile and River Transport reported.

The main attention was focused on the implementation of the Agreement between the Governments of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the international road traffic of Sept. 4, 1996. In particular, the issues of arranging regular bus transportations of passengers between the two countries were discussed.

An agreement was reached to resume the following regular bus routes by carrying out the necessary procedures for launching them:

- Tashkent - Bishkek - Tashkent ;

- Andijan - Osh-Andijan;

- Ferghana - Osh - Fergana.

At the talks, the Kyrgyz delegation was headed by Adylbek Akmatov, head of the automobile and railway transport department of the Ministry of Transport and Roads of the Kyrgyz Republic.
