Bishkek, Jan. 27, 2023 / Kabar/. Following the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan, the parties signed in Bishkek a Declaration on a comprehensive strategic partnership between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The declaration says that the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan decided to bring bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level and proclaim the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between them with their subsequent bringing them to a higher level. And also in the further comprehensive development of bilateral relations in such key areas as political cooperation, cooperation on security issues, cooperation in the water and energy field, interregional cooperation, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and trade and economic cooperation.
The latter implies the need to effectively use the capabilities of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek Business Council, as well as to establish practical interaction between business structures and business circles of the two countries.
The parties noted the importance of joining efforts in the field of production and processing of agricultural products, food security, providing the population with affordable and high-quality food, and exporting to third countries.
Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan intend to further strengthen cooperation in the customs sphere, improve the technology of customs operations using the latest technical means.
