Tashkent, Nov.16, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan’s State Agency for Local Self-Government and Inter-Ethnic Relations and the Committee on Interethnic Relations and Friendly Ties with Foreign Countries under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan have signed the Memorandum on Cooperation.
The signing of the document was held in Tashkent as part of the Central Asia, Our Common Home International Conference.
The document provides for cooperation in the social and political, cultural-educational, scientific and information spheres in accordance with the legislation of their states and on the basis of equality, mutual respect and mutual benefit.
The main areas of cooperation are, in particular, the exchange of experience in the implementation of state ethnic policy, prevention of all forms of discrimination on the grounds of race, nationality, language and religion, development and implementation of joint projects to bring the peoples of the two countries closer together, strengthening and development of public diplomacy, promotion of cross-border cooperation involving the potential of civil society and others.

This Memorandum shall enter into force on Nov.15, 2019, the date of its signing, and shall be valid for four years.
