Bishkek, Apr. 3, 2019. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan signed a regulation on a permanent commission on interstate use of Orto-Tokoi (Kasansay) reservoir in Ala-Buka region, Jalal-Abad oblast, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
On April 2-3, a meeting of the delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan was held in Bishkek to review and approve the draft Regulation on the permanent commission on interstate use of Orto-Tokoi (Kasansay) reservoir in Ala-Buka region, Jalal-Abad oblast of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The delegations of the two countries were headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Food Industry and Melioration of Kyrgyzstan Z. Kerimaliev and Deputy Minister of Water Resources of Uzbekistan R. Mamutov.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the mechanism for financing, maintaining and further operating Orto-Tokoi (Kasansay) reservoir and agreed to hold the first meeting of the permanent commission.
