Tashkent, March 11, 2021 / Kabar /. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan will create a joint investment fund with an authorized capital of USD 50 million, which is planned to be increased to USD 200 million in the future, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance and Economy of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Karmyshakov and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov told.
The statement was made at the Kyrgyz-Uzbek business forum, which took place on Thursday as part of the state visit of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov to Uzbekistan.
It was noted that the fund being created will become a "catalyst for the development of bilateral cooperation" and it will allow supporting a number of new joint projects, primarily in the field of industrial cooperation.
