Kyrgyzstan will monitor all TV channels of country

Bishkek, Oct. 2, 2018. / Kabar /. 553 licenses were issued in Kyrgyzstan for television and radio broadcasting, 119 of them were issued to television and radio organizations, 412 - TV channels. Ainura Temirbekova, Deputy Minister of Culture, Information and Tourism told during a press conference at Kabar News Agency.

She added that the Department of Information and Mass Communications at the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic is preparing a letter for all TV channels with a request to provide three-day recordings and a list of television programs, as specified in the law.

“According to the Kyrgyz law, TV channels are obliged to keep records of 30 days of broadcasting. After receiving information about the three days of the broadcast, we will conduct an analysis,” she said.

Temirbekova noted that today, since the entry into force of the law, that is, since August 12, 2017, there has been one written complaint with a copyright violation.

“There is also an oral complaint about violation of the law on advertising,” she added.

Ainura Temirbekova explained that it is possible to check the TV channel only one year after the issuance of the license.

“But if there is a complaint from legal organizations or just an individual, then the check can be carried out at any time,” the Deputy Miniser of Culture added.
