Kyrgyzstan wins IIHF World Championship Division IV

Bishkek, March 9, 2022 . / Kabar / . Kyrgyzstan’s national ice hockey team became the world champion in Division IV.

The World Cup was held at the city ice arena in Bishkek on March 3 to 8.

On the last day of the championship, the national team defeated team of Kuwait with a score of 14:0 in the final game.

Earlier, Kyrgyzstan defeated Iran 13:1, Malaysia 22:1 and Singapore 15:0.

Five national teams participated in the tournament and all of them are from Asia, namely, Kyrgyzstan (came from Division III qualifying tournament), Kuwait (came from Division III qualifying tournament), Iran (participates for the first time), Singapore (participates for the first time), Malaysia (participates for the first time).
