Bishkek, Jan. 29, 2018 / Kabar /. Miami Marathon & Half Marathon, was held in Miami (USA) on Jan. 26-27, where the winner was Kyrgyz citizen, Abakir Sharshenov, the athlete told this on his page in Instagram.
The athlete said that it was one of the largest and fastest growing marathons of the world, where more than 20 thousand sportsment from 100 countries of the world took part. The runner stressed that he was the only representative from Central Asia.
"This marathon has been going on for 16 years since 2003. The level of organization of the event is at the highest level. Support from the government, as well as from the residents of the city of Miami is very powerful. I've never seen such a strong support, with such support, I think everyone would run a marathon. In general, I'm in shock, I have such great emotions, incredible feelings!” Sharshenov wrote.
In addition, the runner thanked all those who supported him: "First of all, I am grateful to God that I could visit such a beautiful place of our planet. I also thank all my relatives who supported me. My special gratitude goes to our compatriots who are living in the USA. Thank you so much for meeting me and being all the way with me!”
